About Us

The Bulawayo Publicity Association was set up nearly 80 years ago to publicise all aspects of Bulawayo, national, regionally and internationally, as an important tourist, business, historical and cultural destination. It is represented on various committees and boards, from business to tourism.

It is a non-profit making organization financed through membership subscriptions from commercial and industrial firms and the tourist industry as well as a small grant from the City council. It is not a municipal department but is an independent organization  administered by a director and executive committee elected at its annual general meeting or appointed by organizations dealing with particular facets of the city’s activities, such as Zimbabwe International Trade Fair, Air Zimbabwe, ZIMRA, ZNCC, CZI, ABUZ as well as the City Council. The Mayor is the Honorary President of the Association.
