Centenary Park
|
Within walking distance of the city centre you can turn off the busy pavement and stroll through the Centenary and Central Parks, graced with beautiful indigenous and exotic trees with extensive lawns of green in the rainy season. In Central Park there is an historic fountain built to commemorate the city’s 75th anniversary in 1968. Across the road in Centenary Park there are children’s playgrounds, a roller skating rink, putt-putt course, a miniature steam railway and the National Museum.
