Mguza and Mazwi Dams

 

Mguza

This 650-hectare park is a magnet for ornithologists and birding enthusiasts. Hundreds of different species have been recorded in a single day. The park also contains several wildlife species, and there are picnic spots, picturesque walks and drives. This nature reserve is a Municipal Recreational Park. The Park is 15km on the Victoria Falls road. The Reserve also has a dam situated near it known as the Mguza dam, which is a popular fishing spot.

Mazwi

The Mazwi Nature Reserve is situated 28km west from the City Centre. Again this is another small Game reserve with a few species. Here Game viewing can be down on horseback The Park which is mainly savannah grassland with thick woodlands, has established itself as a popular camping site. Throughout the year, large groups such as church youth groups and boy scouts, make this their home.
