Tshabalala - a thorny wildlife sanctuary

Situated 8 km from the city centre is Tshabalala, a wildlife sanctuary of thorny bushveld with a variety of birdlife and wildlife including guinea fowl, francolins, giraffe, zebra, warthog, impala and other smaller antelope. A big advantage for visitors is that you are allowed to leave your car in Tshabalala and walk through this rugged wilderness and experience the sights and sounds on foot.
