Shopping

Bulawayo has one major shopping mall called Bulawayo Center, named afetr its location. It houses various shops from clothing to grocery and it also includes hair saloons and restuarants. The clothing shops offer different ranges from low priced affordable clothes to extravagant designer labels. There are also smaller shopping complexes which are found in selected neighbourhoods in both low and high density areas. These complexes are usually accompanied by a service station and they are better option for those who want to avoid the high city rush, as they prove to be more relaxed and uncrowded. Flea markets are also  popular shopping venues with one in particular called "bend over boutique"  also known as "khothama."

Leisure

Bulawayo has different ways one can spend leisure time, one in particular being braaing. This is a popular past time not only amongst the young but also with the old. There are various braaing spots located within the city and also on the outskirts. Some braaing spots such as Hillside Dams, come with fitted braai stands and other activities such as volleyball, fishing and walks, can be enjoyed at the venue. The city also has several night clubs within it and some sports clubs also house pubs/bars, for those who enjoy going to dance the night away or sip on a strong drink or few.
