The Bulawayo Club, for business, for leisure, for Life!!

The Club is situated centrally in the heart of historic Bulawayo City, at the corner of 8th Ave and Fort Street.  One block away is the landmark High Court building, and three blocks away is the City Hall with its souvenir sellers and gardens.  The Club still has an active membership but the hospitality services are now under the private management of the Amalinda Collection.  Residents have access to all areas of the Club through a temporary subscription built into the accommodation rate.  The second floor of the club offers 15 bedrooms, each unique in design and view.  De'cor is fresh and uses subtle shades which complement the historic surrounds.  All rooms are ensuite with bath, have overhead fans, and have either queen or double beds.

The club also boasts the grant restaurant "Governors Restaurant" for fine dining as well as a casual French cafe' restaurant for less formal meals. The club has wireless throughout the library, lounges, restaurants and rooms.

Being city centre, the club is central for shopping and the attractions of any modern city, including golf courses, gymnasiums and sport clubs for the actively inclined.  Major attractions within city limits include the National Natural History Museum and the Railway Museum.  Close to the city are the Matobo Hills and Khami Ruins, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.  Guided historical tours of the city can be arranged.

Ivory Lodge "Place of Elephants" is located outside the Hwange National Park on a private concession of 6,000 squared acres.  The Lodge is located just off the Bulawayo/Victoria Falls main road and is clearly sign posted.

Ivory Lodge offers the chance to relax and unwind, allowing you to soak in the beauty of the African serenity.  The concession is home to an abundance of wildlife including herds of elephants and buffalo up to 300 strong, both of which are regular residents at the water hole.

The accommodation comprises of 7 thatched tree-house style rooms and 2 tented presidential suites.  All rooms are fitted with mosquito nets and all rooms are fairly open, therefore we provide electric blankets during our winter months.  All the lodges have a scenic view of the water hole, which is secured by an electric fence.

Activities include game drives, visits to the Painted Dog conservancy, village tours, walking safaris on request, vulture restaurant viewings and game counts (also on request)

Ivory lodge is the key home range of the Presidential Elephant herd made famous by Alan Elliot in the 1980.  This clan is semi-habituated elephants are known by our guides and certain family members can be called up to the vehicles if you are requesting a specific elephant experience.
