Bulawayo Mayors
Bulawayo, the City of Kings, has a rich history, and at the heart of its development have been the Bulawayo mayors who have held the prestigious office.
Since its official establishment as a municipality in 1897, a long line of distinguished figures has taken the helm, guiding the city through periods of immense growth, challenge, and transformation.
From the early days of colonial administration to the dawn of a new millennium, Bulawayo mayors have left their unique mark on Bulawayo’s landscape, economy, and social fabric.
The current sitting mayor is His Worship David Coltart, who took office in 2023.
